CS/CS/CS/SB 1582: Department of Health

GENERAL BILL by Fiscal Policy ; Appropriations Committee on Health and Human Services ; Health Policy ; Rodriguez

Department of Health; Exempting environmental health technicians from certain certification requirements under certain circumstances; creating the Andrew John Anderson Pediatric Rare Disease Grant Program within the department for a specified purpose; providing that any health care practitioner present at a birth or responsible for primary care during the neonatal period has the primary responsibility of administering certain screenings; revising hearing loss screening requirements to include infants and toddlers; requiring the department to grant certain applicants 90 days to cure deficiencies with their medical marijuana treatment center license applications pursuant to a specified errors and omissions process, etc.

Effective Date: Except as otherwise expressly provided in this act and except for this section, which shall take effect upon this act becoming a law, this act shall take effect July 1, 2024
