GENERAL BILL by Fiscal Policy ; Appropriations Committee on Agriculture, Environment, and General Government ; Banking and Insurance ; DiCeglie

Department of Financial Services; Creating the federal tax liaison position within the department; requiring the Chief Financial Officer to appoint the federal tax liaison; renaming the Division of Investigative and Forensic Services in the Department of Financial Services as the Division of Criminal Investigations; specifying that licensed and appointed general lines agents, rather than general lines agents, may engage in certain activities while also licensed and appointed as surplus lines agents; revising the prohibition relating to the Florida Birth-Related Neurological Injury Compensation Plan accepting new claims, etc.

Effective Date: Except as otherwise expressly provided in this act, this act shall take effect upon becoming a law
